Corvin sétány (Corvin Promenade) has won several prizes, and got an award again. The promenade located at the corner of Ferenc körút and Üllői út got the 2014 Global Awards for Excellence of Urban Land Institute.
The Promenade Got Several Awards
After winning International Property Award for “the best miscellaneous-function property development project of Europe”, the international Prix d’Excellence of FIABCI and CIJ Award for the best Hungarian commercial property development (which was given to Corvin Plaza shopping center located at the promenade) Corvin sétány got the 2014 Global Awards for Excellence of Urban Land Institute on the 22nd October 2014 in New York.
The Award Was Given for the 36th Time
The award was accepted by the inventor and the architects of the project, György Alföldi, Gábor Radványi and Gábor Kovács. Non-profit organization Urban Land Institute, which supports responsible land usage and property development, gave the award for the 36th time this year. The Promenade’s Impact on the Neighborhood Was Rewarded
The promenade was rewarded for its impact on the neighborhood, its architectural solutions and the responsible land usage. The aspects examined by the jury also included what kind of alternative financing opportunities were used by the developers and how effective their cooperation with the local organizations was.
