Perhaps the most emblematic part of the district is Gellert Hill, with Citadel and the Statue of Liberty at the top, which is a favourite destination not only for tourists but also for the proximity to nature and the beautiful panorama. At the bottom of the mountain, the Freedom Bridge crosses the river, where Corvinus University awaits its students on the Pest side.
On the bank of the Danube, we find the campuses of the University of Technology (BME) and then between Petőfi Bridge and Rákóczi Bridge there is the Faculty of Science of ELTE. It is no coincidence that InfoPark has been built next to it, this is a popular location for innovative companies due to the proximity of universities and modern office buildings. The Kopaszi Dam with its restaurants and cafés awaits the area's employees to relax a bit during weekdays, and families on weekends. Next to it, on the shore of Lágymányosi Bay, a new part of the city is built with modern office buildings and newly built residential developments.
From the Pest side, the M4 metro station at the Újbuda-Central station stops at the Allee shopping and entertainment area, but you can take the metro to Kelenföld Railway Station. This is the 4th busiest train station in the capital - with suburban connections to the agglomeration. For families, a trip to Sashegy or a walk around the Shallow Lake can be an inviting activity.
Thanks to the metro, tram lines 4-6 and 1, and bus line 7, the district has excellent public transport. The outer part of the district is one of the gates of Budapest, where the M1 and M7 motorways start towards Vienna and Lake Balaton. There are several major shopping centres within the city limits (IKEA, Auchan, Decathlon, Media Markt, Tesco, etc.).
