Rents Also Keep Increasing

back

Since 2014 the demand for apartments for sale has been increasing, and so have the prices. But besides prices, rents are also higher than a few years ago.

Investors Bought City Center Apartments Relatively Cheap

Since the outbreak of the crisis in 2008 prices have kept falling, and until 2013 almost nobody bought any apartments. But then news stated prices wouldn’t go any lower, thus everyone should consider buying an apartment. Investors did so, buying apartments in the city center for a relatively low price.

Demand for Apartments for Rent Increased

The demand for apartments for rent in the city center started to increase, since besides university and college students, debtors who lost their apartments and can’t buy another one are also looking for an apartment to rent.

Apartments in the City Center Are a Good Investment

An apartment in the city center is a good investment, since buying one investors can realize an 8-10 percent yield. Moreover, rents keep increasing, since more and more are looking for a place to rent. Many owners decide to rent out their apartments to tourists for several days or weeks, instead of renting them out to Hungarians for months or years, since this way they can get a much higher income. And Hungarian property is attractive for foreign investors, since it’s still relatively cheap compared to the prices of the region. And thanks to the increasing rents more and more Russian, Ukrainian and Arab investors buy an apartment in Hungary to rent it out.
